Need:
Maintaining proper climatic conditions is important for achieving higher productivity in farming. High yielding precision farming techniques like greenhouse farming, hydroponics-aquaponics system, etc are becoming popular among farmers. Govt agriculture department is also promoting farming with climatic controls. Vigyan Ashram has developed 'Autofarm' a need-based temperature, humidity, and soil moisture control system for marginal farmers.
Current Status: • Installation at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Narayangaon (Pune) for field testing.
• Installation at Aquaponics farming system of Nisargayan Kheti Solution Pvt. Ltd. for monitoring water circulation system.
• Trails for controlling temperature of polyhouse, hydroponics and azolla cultivation unit.
• Vigyan Ashram is open for collaboration for launching of the product in the market
• Future Plan : work on collecting training data for developing system using Artificial intelligence & machine learning is in progress.
