Therefore, contaminated surfaces that are frequently contacted in day-to-day life are a potential source of coronavirus transmission. Unlike other techniques, UV-C photolysis rarely produces potentially dangerous by-products. Air has a low absorption coefficient and hence allows UV-C to attack microorganisms present.
