Vigyan Ashram offers a 3-month hands-on Workshop Training Program designed to equip rural youth with practical skills in mechanical, fabrication, and construction trades. The course covers essential modules like welding (Arc, TIG, and Shiv-2), lathe machine operations (turning, boring, knurling), and plumbing (PVC, UPVC, CPVC). Students also learn painting techniques including oil painting, tractor emulsion, distemper, and luster paint. The program includes training in FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) door lamination and sheet fabrication, ferrocement sheet production for tanks and roofing, and construction work such as house foundation layout, RCC column casting, and brick masonry. Advanced mechanical operations like threading, tapping, plasma cutting, milling, and wood router (CNC) are taught to enhance precision skills. In addition, students gain expertise in powder coating, spray painting, and sheet metal work for fabricating kitchen utensils and electric meter boxes.
This fully practical course is ideal for learners aiming to pursue self-employment or technical jobs. The training is conducted at Vigyan Ashram, Pabal, in Marathi with real-world demonstrations.
